Dwight Davis (known as "Dave") and Margaret Mary Summy had 5 children. Married in Souix City, IA while he was in the Army Air Force during World War 2. Stationed in Georga for first child Dwight Davis Summy Jr., then California for second child Dana Lou Summy, and Souix Falls, SD for the last three children, Teresa Ann Summy, Christine Jo Summy, and Anthony Kyle Summy. They settled after the war in Souix Falls, SD until 1967, where Dave was a car salseman, then sold insurance for AllState then Prudential.
Margaret quit nursing school to marry, then worked as a housewife until the 1960's when she returned to nursing school. The family moved to Chico, CA in 1967 where Dave sold life insurance, then cars, until his death of a stroke at age 56 in 1976. Margaret remarried in 1978 to Frank Morgan, a retired orchard farmer.
